Bob Cassilly opened the City Musuem in 1997. His team of grown-up kids welded, sculpted, taped and glued together pieces of St. Louis to make a place unlike any other. Slides, forts, tunnels, castles, airplanes & trains fill the old shoe factory today, and more is always being added. Bob called his museum “A million square feet of possibility,” and as long as his crew is guided by history, craft, imagination, conservation, and the wonder of being a kid, the possibilities are endless for all who come to explore.
